Profile

I, Lucenda Honore, am a licensed therapist and educator who works with adults and children to overcome any personal or family challenges and mental health issues through individual therapy, child therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy. I have received a Bachelors of Psychology from  Florida International University , and a Masters in Social work with a focus on military social work and couples therapy from the  University of Southern California.

2015-2022

Before creating Rebounding Lotus,  I have been an educator for three years, a child and family therapist for three years, as well as a community health worker for two years. My passion to help people find peace and happiness with themselves and in their lives is what made me start my own therapy practice, Rebounding Lotus. The best part is hearing people express how happy they are and how things have changed for the better. Increasing happiness also improves one's health, and this is my main objective with every patient I see.

Growing up, I always wanted to open a community center for youth and their families. Logically, that led me to study business, which I realized wasn’t my calling. (Community center? Yes! Business major? No!) I took a psychology class and found my calling. I loved it and realized my whole life had prepared me for this career. I made a plan to get my Master of Social Work (MSW) and become a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) while working in careers to help me grow my skills.

I worked as a teacher where I learned to provide individualized care and meet people where they are, and I also worked for the YMCA where I learned to work with adults providing individualized and group services. From there on I have been affiliated with Community Partners of South Florida , Alma,  and Headway. I honestly can’t picture myself doing anything else

FAQ & Terms and Conditions

We work with you to come up with the very best solutions for your challenges!

01

How do I pay?

Once you schedule a session you will be sent an invoice that needs to be paid on or before the scheduled session. If you do not pay on or before the session your session will be cancelled.

02

Is there a rescheduling fee?

No, we would just keep your initial payment or require a 15% deposit if you did not pay before rescheduling.

03

How Do I book?

All new clients are required to schedule a free 30 min consultation to go over your needs and expectations. This can be done on the appointments tab. Afterwards you and the Counselor will schedule together the next session.

If you are not a new patient, you will head to the appointment tab and book a session.

04

Do you offer in-person sessions?

Rebounding Lotus offers virtual appointments only. However, if a client is in close proximity and based on their needs, we are open to having an in-person session; not on a regular basis though.
